$72.3K - $91.6K a year 7 days ago 7 days ago 7 days ago Company Description Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Operations Supervisor will oversee inbound or outbound operations of a 24/7, 770,000 sq. ft. facility by ensuring flawless execution of area processes with adherence to SOPs and responsible for process outputs of safety, quality, and performance. This includes, order-fill, replenishment, shipping or receiving and day-to-day operations in a manner geared towards operational excellence. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Monitor receiving and shipping procedures to ensure that products are unloaded, received, put away, selected and loaded in the most efficient manner. Communicate and reinforce policies and procedures (Preferred Work Methods and Best Business Practices) to ensure employees are trained in safety, job knowledge, and attainment of performance standards. Plan, schedule to cover vacation, holidays, and other shift fill-ins, and coordinate employees needed to accomplish all warehousing activities. Monitor workflow, balance employees between all work areas to maintain an even flow, and monitor productivity and volume through the use of the labor management system. Monitor employees' work (labor management) and perform performance reviews on an on-going basis to coach them on expectations, reward above average performance, and identify and coach to high performance. Reduce overtime by utilizing the Daily Planning Tool spreadsheet. Work effectively with Transportation to maximize flow of receiving and shipping processes. Work with Inventory Control and Operations Systems to ensure that all product integrity is maintained and is properly stored and rotated. Ensure that all required employee reviews are submitted in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner. Work with Inventory Control to minimize warehouse shrink (product loss). Responsible for appearance, maintenance, and security of warehouse and equipment. Observe and enforce all safety rules in an effort to eliminate accidents and injuries. Support the safety effort by working with the safety department to resolve safety issues. Ensure warehouse computers and RF (radio frequency) equipment are used in a safe and professional manner. Understand and comply with all applicable company policies (i.e. attendance, Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook, etc.) Ensure compliance with all applicable state/federal laws, regulations, and policies (i.e. OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration), HACCP, AIB, etc.). Additional responsibilities or special projects as requested Qualifications EXPERIENCE NEEDED 5
years of experience in warehouse or inventory operations Strong mathematical and logistic operations skills required Strong leadership skills to provide mentoring, training or corrective feedback Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including being able to prepare presentation materials and present the information one-on-one and in a group Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills An understanding of computer ordering systems and other IT systems Fluent in English, additional language skills an advantage PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand, walk and sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Responsible for overall safety and safe operation of motor vehicle. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
